Charter Experience
The type of tackle used on all of our fishing charters is termed "light tackle" and provides lots of excitement and fun. Both beginners and seasoned fishermen will enjoy this type of fishing. There are Fly Fishing and all Artificial fishing charters available by request.
is a fish we often target on our fishing charters. Pound for pound, the Redfish is one of the best fights in the water. Redfish are such a great fish to catch, that they have become a fish that is pursued by professionals on several Redfish Tours from North Carolina to Texas. Redfish are caught year-round here and can be caught on live bait or sight fished with flys and artificial lures. The Redfish varies from 18" to over 40" but only fish up to 27" may be kept.
is in the same family as the Redfish and again, is a fish that is caught here all year. Sea Trout are good fight, plentiful and range from 14" to over 30". Live bait and artificials work equally well for these fish.
Redfish and Sea Trout can be caught in water that can be as shallow as 12" deep. They are great fish to eat and after we filet them, one of several great local restaurants will prepare them for you any way you like, at a very reasonable price.
is another of the fish we catch here on the West Coast of Florida. The Snook is a great fighter, great to eat and to many, a true trophy fish. Snook are out in great numbers during the late spring to fall but once the water cools down, the Snook go into hiding for the winter. They can be caught on live bait, dead bait and artificials and range from 16" to over 40".
or the " Silver King" is highly prized by many fishermen and the West Coast of Florida is a prime Tarpon area from May to November on the beaches. The Tampa Bay area is not as well known as other areas on the West Coast of Florida but many of us feel it is the best area with lots of fish and few anglers. The fish range from 50 lbs to over 200lbs and can be caught in a variety of ways. Patience is very important when Tarpon fishing but is very rewarding.
There is nothing more exciting than watching these fish jump out of the water when hooked, sometimes several jumps, and then the scream of the drag on the reel as these fish peel off hundreds of yards of line. An excitement you will never forget, a heart rate you may have never experienced and a memory your friends won't understand is waiting here in Tampa Bay, Clearwater, St Pete and surrounding areas. Capt. Steve is tops when it comes to finding Tarpon and if he is booked, has a few other Captains that he highly recommends that will certainly produce for you.
